SalzAlpenSteig II
Magnificent mountains, lush forests, sparkling lakes and mythic moors – breath-taking landscapes mark the old and historic salt-mining realms. This Salzalpensteig trail connects old, regional tracks to a cross-border long-distance path which reaches from lake Chiemsee, through Berchtesgaden to Austria’s Word Heritage region Dachstein-Salzkammergut. This tour covers the last stages from Golling to the prehistoric salt-mining centre of Hallstatt.
